What the policy gives you
- No road tax and no registration fee on electric cars priced up to ₹30 lakh, until 31 March 2030. Every VinFast model qualifies, including the VF 7 Sky Infinity at ₹28.09 lakh ex-showroom.
- A ₹1 lakh incentive if you scrap an old vehicle and buy a new electric car, subject to the eligibility criteria.
- More charging. The policy aims to add 30,000 public charging points in Delhi.
Why it matters
On a petrol or diesel car, road tax is a large one-time cost that can run into lakhs of rupees. On a VinFast registered in Delhi, it is zero. That narrows the gap between the price of an electric car and its petrol equivalent, before you save a rupee on fuel.
Things to check
- The benefits apply to vehicles registered in Delhi. Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have their own rules, so if you live in Faridabad or Noida, ask us for the correct on-road price.
- The scrappage incentive has eligibility conditions. Bring the details of your old vehicle and we'll check them with you.
- Policies can change. We quote what applies on the day you buy.
Other reasons Delhi drivers go electric
Electric cars are exempt from Delhi's age limits on diesel (10 years) and petrol (15 years) vehicles, and VinFast owners charge free at V-Green stations until 31 March 2029.
