The family checklist
- Crash-test rating for adults and children. Bharat NCAP publishes separate scores for adult and child occupants. Check both.
- Airbags and stability control. Seven airbags is better than six, and six is better than two.
- Child seats. Look for ISOFIX mounts at the rear.
- Space and comfort. Rear legroom, rear AC vents, and a boot that holds a stroller or luggage.
- Range and charging at home. Can you charge where you park?
- Warranty and service. A long battery warranty matters more than it does on a petrol car.

Comfort in a Delhi summer
Every VF 7 has ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control and rear AC vents. The VF 6 Wind adds ventilated front seats and dual-zone climate control. In the VF MPV 7, the third row has its own AC controls and vents, so passengers at the back are not left out.
Which one for which family?
- A couple with one or two children: the VF 6.
- Four or five of you, with grandparents on weekends and the occasional long drive: the VF 7.

Is VinFast safe for children?
In Bharat NCAP tests in January 2026, the VF 7 scored 45.25 out of 49 and the VF 6 scored 44.41 out of 49 for child occupant protection, and both earned five stars overall. Both have ISOFIX mounts at the rear.
Which VinFast has the most space?
The VF MPV 7 seats seven and has the longest body at 4,740 mm. Among the five-seaters, the VF 7 has the larger boot at 537 litres.
